classic turbo: replaced fogs with LED's

Here is some photos showing the LED's replacing the original FOG lamps.

The way I have fitted them is I cut the wire from the original fog bulb holder and soldered it to the LED's so it makes it easier to fit and remove, the LED's are stuck to the STI style fog covers with double sided 3M tape which was supplied with the LED's.
LED's were about 8 from Ebay from a chinese seller called Yoopar, lol.
STI fog covers approx 56 from scoobyparts.co.uk

LEDs off

Side lights and fog switch on (LEDs on)

side lights only

side and headlights only

side, heads and fog lights (LED's) on

cheers, the only thing I don't like is when the LED's are off is those yellow squares, so I'm thinking of sticking some cheap window tinting over them to hide them.

is there much heat off the LED`s ?
I know the number plate bulbs in LED version have a big heat sink on to help with the heat, just wondered what these are like on the plastic cover after a period of time.

I thought about doing that by replacing the bulb with the same spec LED type, but then I decided it looks better with out the lamps.

Why don't you try doing it, you can always revert back to standard.

not much heat of them at all, had them on for approx 30-40 minutes driving at average speeds of 30mph. It does have a metal strip on the back of them. There is no damage to the fog covers.

More LED's
None of the the LED's below have heatsinks and do not generate much heat.
Indicators, bare in mind that I have smoked glass as well.
Yellow LED indicator

Orange standard indicator

Yellow LED night

White LED reg bulbs

White LED side lights

Standard side lights

LED sides and standard headlights to show colour/temp difference. I will be swapping the standard headlights for a set of CREE LED's in the near future from Horizon LEDs as I have already contacted them concerning passing an MOT and they told me if it fails even after the LED's have been aligned I can send them back for a refund.

Something you've all seen before LED Dash cluster.
However this is a late classic and all the info on the bulb types I've come across on the net are wrong as it only uses 1 501 W5W aka T10 in LED fitments the rest are T5 fitments.

Blue LED night

Blue LED day time

Back of cluster to show which bulbs I swapped.
The 3 blue bulb holders were swapped for T5 (these are rev and speedo) and the large black one at the far right side is the 501 W5W aka T10 (Fuel and water temp), just up from there is another T5 (clock).

Links are in bold
I got the T5 LED's for the cluster from Crazy LEDs
1 x 12v T5 286 74 3xLED. :: 286 T5 LED :: LEDS :: Crazy LEDs
The 501 T10 for the cluster from ebay
10x BLUE 20 SMD LED 501 T10 W5W Side Number Plate Interior Car Light Wedge Bulb | eBay
Side lights and Reg bulbs, yellow indicators from ebay
UPTO 10X T10 501 194 168 W5W 5SMD LED ERROR FREE CANBUS Car Side Light Bulb | eBay
Eventually I will be getting the CREE LEDS, there are different generations/designs, some have passive cooling others have a fan, and the latest is passive cooling with ballast built in to the bulb assembly. The link below is the kit I'm getting.

Re: classic turbo: replaced fogs with LED's

I've seen a pretty cool setup on the Mazda 3 dash lights. There were 3 small LED bulbs but the color was different on all three, yellow, purple and blue, pretty similar to the one on this picture:
