Cambelt

I have an 05 wrx300 with 34,000 on the clock...is it worth getting the cambelt done at this age and with the miles or wait a while...?...and does anyone know of any specialists in the North Yorkshire area...thanks..

Re: Cambelt

I would say yes to be honest just for piece of mind if anything else. I reckon with miles that low it would only be the belt that needed changing so it would be a fair wack cheaper

Re: Cambelt

I had my 54 plate done a few months ago and just went to a local garage, I checked online for some reviews first though to make sure they were good. I think it cost me 320 quid for the belt change which I think is a lot less than a main dealer would charge

Re: Cambelt

depends if you want all tentioners and genuine belt, i would say a good brand aftermarket is ok, again its preference, Even parts for aftermarket can be 200+ with all tentioners etc. Dont worry over the water pump either unless its noisy or you have an issue with it.
