99 impreza turbo idle problem ???

Hello all, have a 99 impreza turbo wagon with low idle problem, revs from 300-1500rpm.
Garage checked the low idle motor and changed the neutral switch for the transmission, (even though it's a standard garage said it might of went) and haven't solved problem. Then they checked all the vacume hoses they could access, still no change. Anyone else experienced this prob? Any solutions,

Thanks in advance Paolo Ch

Welcome to the site ... Another off the shelf thought could be the MAF sensor: Have a read at this thread:

http://www.subaru-impreza.org/subaru...ght=maf+sensor

OR

http://www.subaru-impreza.org/subaru...ght=maf+sensor

Sensors (Various) could result in a stall and bad idle.

Hi and welcome
If you have disconected your battery of replaced it recently you might have recet your ECU. If so the idle speed can drop and even stall for the first 200 miles till the ECU has sorted itself out 8)
