Re: My Clean Engine Bay

my engine is smothered in that green anti corrosion stuff. its the consistancy of chewing gum stuck under a school desk on a hot day.

id love to wash it all off and have a sparkling engine bay, but......... am i better leaving this gunk on it? i mean am i better off having a non corroded green sticky engine.... or a sparkly one. to be honest though i cant even get it off. a few mins with a toothbrush and i thought "Fnck this!"

I found all the dirt and grim from the road sticks on it. So i got it off with white spirit.

"I like a very clean looking engine bay"

Re: My Clean Engine Bay

yeah its nasty,,, you do something simple like check your oil level and end up looking like youve been ECTO-PLASM'd.
and yes all the grit sticks to it. also ive had bird feathers stuck to it.

i might do what pete said....gonna have to set aside a whole day for that hehe.
wonder if its better leaving it there for anti corrosion purposes though.

If you keep your engine bay clean. You should have no problem with corrosion.
