hi guys, heres a rough guide to respraying the rear bits of metal behind rear doors on classics (mine had gone chrome). tried to upload pics for this but my camera is playing up..

tools you will need:
philips screwdriver and a small flat head, satin black car paint (i got mine from halfords), wet and dry

this job is easy to do an make the scoob look much better

open drivers and passenger door fully,
you then need to prise out the rubber seal that goes all the way down the car
(the one that also comes down the centre pillar)
remove it carfully all the way down the car and underneath there are 12 small philips screws.
remove all of these (careful not to lose them!) when you have removed these hold it in place and gently prise the rear bit off (there are two clips joining it to the car)
you then have the whole piece that goes across the top of both windows joined to the bit you are going to spray. you cant split these as its all rivetted so you will just need to tape the rear bit off.. refit is reverse

would be a lot easier if i could get pics to work but camera playing up..

Re: respraying!

only just done this but did not remove any thing from the car but masked around and made sure all was well with the wather ie: no wind no rain, must say it does realy look better for it.
May the road rise up to meet you and may the grass never grow under your feet.
