Northern Virginia Mini Meet (6-24-06)

A few of my friends got together for a little meet. 1 from Massachusetts (Supercharged Civic Si), 1 from Connecticut (370whp Evo 8), 1 from Ohio (Supercharged Civic Si) and 2 from the area (05' STi & 02' Civic Si). Enjoy!

Civic with a Supercharger!?! Oh dear..... I imagine its fairly quick then?

Too much power through the front wheels cant be good surely??

Great pics tho

Thanks for the comments chaps. Yeah, the Si with the red volks is putting down about 245hp to the wheels.

Whats that at the fly mate? At the moment my Scoob is putting 215 to the wheels!!

Doesnt that make things hard to drive with so much power going through the front wheels?

Somewhere around 280, I believe. The Si only weighs 2700lbs too. You just have to learn to feather the throttle. Its not that difficult. Try driving a TSX swapped Civic Si with a Stage 3 turbo kit. My other friend from New York has one putting down 400hp to the wheels.

That just sounds stupidly over powered for the car!! How does the chassis take it?!

My Type R at standard is less than 1300kgs, which is 2860lbs (2.2lbs per 1kg )...

I was always told that anything more than 220bhp through the front wheels was a waste...

It handles it pretty well. He blew by my buddies Evo on the highway like he was sitting still. It is a waste if you cant get it to hook up. We have most of our fun on the highway anyways. No need for traction there.

What do you do on the Highways over there? Aren't you limited to like 55mph in places??

I'd love to go on those roads and just blast along there as fast as possible... Straight roads are very boring but it would be great fun to just drive on one once

We usually have a little fun from a roll. Its nice to have a wide open highway.

I wish we had a nice smooth straight road to start off with!! Having coil overs around here, isnt worth it... It'll just bounce all over the place and not grip the road at all Its a nightmare

Damn. That sucks. I had no idea the roads were that bad over there.

That's why the coil overs are just for track rather than road useage.. I think it really does make the car worse to drive...

Driving down my street your bouncing all over the place.. Its a rough ass road that doesnt get patched up or nothing...
