18" rims

i went to a car shop today to cheack out new rims
my sti comes with 17" but i would like to go 18" apparently i need to lower the car
or get new suspensions to go from 215/45/17 to 225/35/18
plus they need to be bigger so they can fit the brembo breaks??

what would you advise on doing. ? get new suspensions or just lower the car
and what type of wheel would you go for?

Why not just get some springs first as coilovers can be very expensive, get some
prodrive ones they sit lower as well ...............
