oh dear I bought gearbox and diff oil from them had no problems. But twice thats a bit much!

on the Subaru Service schedule manual it tells you exactly when. The manual which is stamped every time after a service by the garage (unless you self service). For the classic impreza its 30k then followed by 100k. What happens after that must be common sense.
