Knocklink

Probably a stupid question as I'm asking it lol, but can anyone tell me in very simple terms, what the purpose of a knocklink is and is it necessary for me to have one?

Hi lou, a knocklink will pick up detonation, which is not good for the engine, its beneficial if you have a tuned engine or imported car due to the lower ron fuel.

A uk car in standard spec should not need one really, but its a tool to tell you whats happening under the bonnet.

Cheers buzz mate

Probably something I will need to purchase in the future as the modding progresses.

Buzz has covered it Lou - and an AFR Gauge is also worthwhile too if you start down the slippery path that is otherwise known as Modding
