Help with wierd noise

In the wet when pulling away or manovering at low speed ( i.e. below 5mph) I get an odd high pitched whine coming from front axle area - seems to be from front wheels or disc/ caliper area. Happens when comming out of car wash etc (particularily washing alloys) and also when slowing/braking from continous high speed motorway driving. No vibration or pulling at wheel just a god awfull noise! Have had the car checked by local dealer and tyre dealer and no one can find anything wrong. Have standard tyres/wheel etc on 2001 wrx New age

Any ideas from anyone this is really trying me!!!!!!

Did the dealer check the pads (ie remove, clean and refit) OEM pads have some stuff in them that when they get low they squeal.... Try some other pads :?:

I had this very sound on my Scoob when my front pads were low ops:

It got louder over time and eventually when the pads were changed I could see that the fronts were in fact quiet low  The pads have a shim that makes a noise as it rubs when the pads get too low - annoying yes but a good audible warning 8)
