4pot piston seized

Hi Guys, ive just taken my 4pot calipers off my scooby and ime going to rebuild them with new seals etc. Ive got two pistons out which came out pretty easily but the other two are jammed in solid and wont move, the thirs piston ive got to move a bit.

Just wanted to ask if there is any easy way to remove them any tips hints etc.

Re: 4pot piston seized

Put them back on, use the pressure of the pedal to try and move them, put something in the other pistons to stop them popping out(I use a piston return tool)
If that fails and you have enough showing you can normally grab them with grips etc, keep the grips to the very top of the piston to limit damage, if your using grips you may end up with a new piston anyway as it may be rusted and pitted so it will eat the new seals anyway,
when looking for seals etc the Nissan 4 pot parts fit.

If theyre the 4pots whats on late uk turbo`s ive got a genuine subaru seal kit spare still in sealed bag Part no 26297FA051 if its the same kit give me a shout i`ll do em ya a bit cheaper.

If ya find any pistons are nackered im pretty sure import car parts sell em individually, hope that helps.

Re: 4pot piston seized

Thanks for that, ive already ordered my seal kit and its on its way damn you only find out after youve bought something that someelse does for cheaper.

Im going to reattach the caliper back on as one of the pistone has almost bottomed out in the caliper and is a *itch to get out.

Id rather do work on the car myself as it gives that satisfaction at the end.

ive gone for kevlar brake pads and motul 5.1 brake fluid as ime doing the brake hoses changing them to braided. got them from Aztec preformance and i spoke to Bob who is a great bloke.

thanks
