ok so for awhile now you will know ive thought my car hasent been running to its full potenital or i have got used to it
so today on the way to work the car starting going like sht off a shovel
really kicking and putting me in to my seat
me thought got my old car back
on the way home this continued me thought
then she would boost and cut out and kick again wtf
thid happend another couple of times so pulled the horses back and got to my childminders house
her man is a mechanic he looked at the turbo hoses
the main hose from the turbo to the boost controller (99 turbo) was split rage as this is just new samco anyway
cut and reattached but no the car has wnet back to slowish again no kick so may question is
do i have a pumped boost controller or am i under boosting and if so is there a way to tune
oh another thing a bit off oil in the pipe so wondering if the small white filter whiich is in line is pumped
any ideas as i want my old car back

Re: NEED HELP ON TO SOMEthING

Wouldnt like the oil in the boost solenoid pipe you mean? that spells signs of seals in turbo bearing on the way out is it buring oil? also a pic would be great makes it so much easier

Re: NEED HELP ON TO SOMEthING

There is a small amount of oil found in this pipe as the air that comes from the breather pipes contains oil within it.

Re: NEED HELP ON TO SOMEthING

ok im a happy man its sorted and i mean totally

went up to a guy in the next village who only works on evos and scoobs

he has also done work on my car before when it belonged to the previous owener

he remember that the long pipe from the turbo and actuator that leads to the boost controller was replaced by the guy i bought it off not long before i bought it mmmm after i test drove it but before i collected it he got the pipe from one he was breaking

on examination the pipe had no one way valve in it and apparenlty it need this to hold the gas at eh controller ie so the pressure transducer never goes negative
noe to be fair i have replaced them with samco ones but the pipe was faulty before
so 99p later and whey hey my car is going like a train car has smoothed out will takes pics and post ltr

Re: NEED HELP ON TO SOMEthING

You can just pick up a restrictor pill from subaru dealer - less than 1

It isnt the returning air causing the issue it is that the pipework is too big and the actuator sees too much pressure so the restictor pill slows it all down.

Re: NEED HELP ON TO SOMEthING

Never had an issue fitting either way round - sounds like the pill was just what the doctor ordered.
