will a turbo engine fit my 2001 bugeye 2.0lt spot

hi guys its my fist thred so pls bear with me

i have a 2001 bugeye 2.0lt sport impreza had this now for 6 years,its a minter well looked after and was bought due to cheep insurance reasons but now its time to go all out for a turbo

will a turbo engine fit stright ino my car? will i need a new gear box or will mine fit the new turbo engine thanks for all you help guys

With all the costs involved and the added insurance for a modified car your better off buying a cheap wrx im afraid.

As above with your sport you'd have to change box, diff, driveshafts, bigger hubs to fit the thicker driveshafts, and would have to change brakes as brakes on impreza sport will be overworked from a turbo engine not the news you wanted to hear but cars are going so cheap now as above get a WRX or go for the icing on the cake an STI

doesnt look good for my sport then ,might have to start looking at a few turbo,s ,thanks for your help guy,s

as above, only real reason to turbo a sport is if you stripping it back to bare metal for a full upgrade drivetrain and engine aka just want the shell for seam welding.
