Brake sizes

I'm a huge noob when it comes to scoobies so far, I live in canada and i was thinking of importing a version 2 gc8c wrx sti if I can find one. I was wondering what the brake sizes are? And does a 2002 wrx 's have the same rotor sizes?
What about pads? What other wrx's or sti's pads are compatible among the generations? Thanks a lot,

Ethan

Re: Brake sizes

i think that 02's wouldnt fit a gc8c sti V2 .
not without other modifications anyway.
though someone on here more up to snuff on the matter will correct/confirm my answer.

out of curiosity, why was you thinking of new age brakes on a classic shape?

Re: Brake sizes

Nice thanks so much fiveskin, I was lookign for numbers but couldnt find anythign anywhere for the classics. Well if i can i'll import a gc8c sti v2, I'm just curious on brake sizes, as to where i can pick up rotors or not for the car from the scooby dealership or something, being an import its a small chance from what i was thinking. But a lot of the subarus are alike, so i thought maybe new wrx/wrx sti rotors and pads would fit a classic by anychance.

Re: Brake sizes

They will all fit a classic even the Brembos, the rear needs a little work but its not a massive job.

Re: Brake sizes

maybe upgrade the brakes from standard to aftermarket ones? that way you'd just replace with those ones all the time?

Re: Brake sizes

AND if the 2.5 RS rotors would fit a 1995 wrx sti ? I saw somewhere that the 2.5 rs rotors were 10.9 which would be the same size, and i saw also 10.7 which is a tad smaller.
