what are the limits of a Uk scoob engine

On the cards so far is the Afterburner performance pack (Backbox, Decat Centre section, Decat Downpipe and JR pannel filter)

With that in place according to scooby world i'd have another 25-30hp which is a good start.

But the boost is where the power lies... i'll gradually buy everthing i need to to rebuild the engine but it will take me the best part of a year to do so, i dont want to blow the thing up (i dont do performance shops for anything other than mapping) what level of boost does the standard car run at.. 0.7bar?? i presume it runs less than 1bar?

When i started out with the nissan i fitted an HKS AFR (cheap and it works to contol small boost increases upto 1.2bar.) does the impreza have a fuel cut point.? if so what's it set at as i may need to buy an FCD.

Will the fuel pump take a boost increase or is it near it's limits to begin with?

I still have the AVCR from my nissan as i knew it was another turbo motor i'd buy so i took it off before selling. so i'm sorted in that department.

give me you advise folks
Will

my end goal is 350+ once the rebuild is complete.

i'm impressed with those figures out of a Uk engine... i'll be greatful if you could dig something out for me.

Cheers

On my 2nd scooby I had a full decat and a blitz induction kit and got 247bhp on the rollers. I then got the scooby ecu chip which put the boost upto 15.5 psi which was a great mod but I don't know what the bhp was as I sold the car before I got it back on the rollers.

Hope the helps in someway.

I am running 1.2 bar which is only to save the gearbox being left on the road. After I swap to a STi 6 speed box, I'll be getting another remap and boost set to 1.4Bar.

Hi Peter....thanks! I chose the black as gold just doesn't do it for me. I don't mind about the post edit - I chose to use a link rather than posting the pics as it wasn't my thread (or even on topic )

Cheers!
