cold weather problem!

hi ive got a 98 wrx import, it runs fine all the time but in cold/wet weather the car holds back when you put your foot down, it sort of hesitates then cuts back into life, and does the same again till you let of the accelaerator, theres no check engine light up, but confused to what it is

Odd one. Just wondering if you're getting water/condensation somewhere it shouldn't be going?

Obvious things to check for hesitation would be air and fuel filters, coil pack, leads and plugs. Apart from that don't really know what to suggest. As I say could be moisture getting in somewhere but where I'm not sure. Sure someone else will give you a few pointers.

could well be that mate. Was gonna ask if you had an induction kit. Would get the covers back on asap. On my old WRX took the vents covers off and as soon as rainy season started alternator went.
