Smoking the pipe

Evening all. Well, had my exhaust sorted today, went to a shop called MIJ Performance near Walsall and in less than an hour and a half they had cut the broken downpipe and TIG welded a new bolt flang on, then they chopped a section out of the centre, made me a new section (which included shaping and stretching the new pipe and then slapped in a new sports cat. TIG welded the new centre section together and bolted it to the downpipe.
Fitted like two fingers up a cat arse it ain't gonna leak !!
Seriously impressed with these guys building me new stainless pipes and repairing my down pipe.
OK, it's a little quieter than it was before but still sounds great and it's legal

Re: Smoking the pipe

glad you've got it sorted. Remember to get it real hot before MOT and ask the garage to do the emissions test first !! - lol

Re: Smoking the pipe

Yeah, it'll get a good run first. Got the car booked in to MotorGuard in Birmingham for the 19th for the central locking too.
