As Tidgy said^^^^^^????? what tests did Mechanic do to show up overfuelling and why suspect this? as for overfuelling are you noticing fuel consumption worse than before this problem started? Also are you getting non start ups if so read below for overfuelling this can happen

The fuel pressure is getting too high, either due to a blocked return line or a faulty fuel pressure regulator.(the fuel pressure would be too high after a second or two of running causing the engine to cut out).
Hope it helps

because thats what the mechanic at the garage said it has quite a bit of smoke coming out of the exhaust due to not burning the fuel off properly.

Is the smoke grey/black? Normally white smoke is coolant, grey/black is fuel, and blue is oil.

Re: help please someone

how long have you had the car?? have you had any fault codes flash up??

suspect over" fueling" could be plugs on the way out,MAF can cause it to smoke aswell, problem with fuel rail/injectors...
