New Clutch

Hiya

Clutch now slipping in 4'th as well as 5'th so time for a change - have been advised to look down the Exedy route.

For info - type r v4 - don't want to just replace as would rather upgrade.

Don't mind it being heavier, but have to drive it every day. Have somebody to fit it at a good price - just need a guider on which one is best suited.

Your advice much appreciated as always

Depends... but here is a link that gives some options

I have been informed that a standard Exedy organic is a good all rounder

Re: New Clutch

Dean, don't go for the standard Exedy clutch, only good for up to 300ft/lbs of torque. You want the Exedy stage 1 racing clutch (pink box - not silver box) as i had on my last car. if you are going for a lightened fly wheel be careful if going under 6kg as i hear they can be nasty for every day driving. causing vibration and dodgy take off.

the exedy clutches will be no heavier than the OEM clutches

As for standard exedy clutches for up to 300lbs/ft this guy on S/N does fairly good deals: link: EXEDY ORGANIC CLUTCHES - FROM 146.99 DELIVERED! - ScoobyNet or 'Just clutch' a shop on ebay do a good price
