Goodridge Brake Hoses
Not been happy with the brakes on the STi, for Brembo's I though they were cack!
So I invested in some Goodridge braided jobbies, they came today, so guess what I've been doing this evening? That didn't take much guess work did it! Now the brakes are nice and sharp, may be coincedence that the bleeding of the system helped a bit, but my experience of Goodridge hoses on bikes tells me its more than just a good bleed. Simple to fit took about 2 1/2 hours total. Got mine from Sooby mania www.scoobymania.co.uk or 0115 9859555 cost £44.00 +p&p Tools needed: 10mm brake spanner (overgrown ring spanner with a groove cut in) Dont try and undo the connection from the copper pipping with out as you will round it off and you are up POO creek big style! a couple of quid from halfords. 11mm spanner for bleeding the brakes. 12mm spanner for the banjo connections and front pipe mounting point. 1- 1.5 litres of brake fluid (of the type specified for your car). A tray to ctch the old fluid that will seep out when the connections are broken, and a watering can to dilute the fluid that will run out. Someone else to help bleed each caliper or one of them Gunson easy bleeds from halfords- £14.00. Only problem here was the caps supplied with it dont fit the 03 sti master cylinder as it is a bayonnet fitting type, but a couple of phone calls and Scott lowe from scotts Automotive sourced me one as with the pressurised gunson system I would have to drill the cap, have a spare now. If the brake fluid hasn't been chenged for a while, buy another litre or two and flush the system out. Everyone wants more power, but don't forget tht you will need to stop it too! Buzz |

No probs nobby, the brakes on my 02 were really good (put you through the screen almost) so my guess is on the stock (think you have wrx) with the goodridges added the brakes should be pretty awesome!
Forgot to mention that the £44.00 was minus Vat  but thats not much, my bill was £75 but that included a litre of Dot 5.1 fluid and the p&p +vat. Buzz |

I fitted some Goodridge hoses to my car around a month ago and was very surprised at the difference they made in getting rid of that mushy pedal feel. Definately a good modification to carry out for a relatively small price.
