Humming noise

Ive noticed the best way to describe it is a slight humming noise from the car but it only comes when Im doing about 60mph to 70mph, if I'm crusing at 80+ or below 60mph there is no noise. Ive recently had vented and grooved disks all round fitted and my mate said it could be these making the noise

Re: Humming noise

that may be the answer, however, i had a really anyoing buzzing noise coming coming from the front of my old car, it took me a few days to find out where it was coming from, and like you i only heard it at certain speeds. it tuned out to be DONT LAUGH the rubber on my wiper left side. i think i have read in the forums someplace that the left hand side door seals can make that noise, ill try and find it.

Re: Humming noise

Discs will make considerable noise, also the number of spokes on wheel will amplife it,solid discs cause no such issues

Re: Humming noise

depends on conditions, could well be tyre noise, all tread should be matching as odd tread will bugger up the drivetrain and handling symmetry..
