Re: Replacing Front Pads/Discs Classic 4 Pots
hi guys, i have took off my calipers to service them and i thought they were not sided but now i see they are slighlty different. could someone please tell me which way they go lol. they are 4 pots (front) with subaru embossed on the front.
also i never noticed which way the pads go(idiot i know), there is one with a metal spring type thing on the bottom of one in each pair, does this one go on the car side or the road side? thanks scott |

Yes metal little thing is the pad wear indicator and normally that pad sits in the inside of the disc

Re: Replacing Front Pads/Discs Classic 4 Pots
Hi Im a scooby neewbie and my 2004 wrx brakes were fine till I put on grooved discs and new pads for a track day. The pads were gone after half a day and with another set on shes ok untill hard braking when she pulls a bit. Is it worth refurbing the 4 pot calipers if they are rusted/pitted when I get them out or can I just rub them downa bit a put them back in?
Has anyone refurbed their caliper pots? Any help appreciated thanks.. |

Re: Replacing Front Pads/Discs Classic 4 Pots
Help needed for a neewbie please? I am refurbing the front 4 pot calipers on my 2004 wrx and would like to know the bleeding sequence ie which wheels first, second and so on, also does anyone know where we can buy or download technical books for my wrx please?
Any help advice gratefully received, thanks in advance, Dave... |
