Really annoying Rattling noise!!

Hi

After fitting a new set of EBC discs and pads to my UK98 Classic I can now hear a really annoying rattling/clanking noise when i go over larger bumps.

I took the wheels off again and checked the pads and discs but they seem secure. The noise seems to stop when i put my foot on the brake pedal and it seems to be coming from the drivers side??

Any help would be appreciated as i really can't find whats rattling.

Cheers

Ash

Hi m8, exactly the same thing happended to me not so long ago. The spring clip holding the pads in place was bust and hence not holding the pads against the disc properly. The noise goes when brakes are pressed cos the pressure is there...

Try checking the spring clip is secure (there) :?:

This wouldnt allow the pads to come off so no immediate panic... more of an annoyance... It also happened to me doing corners at slowish speeds...

Let us know how it goes

All the best

Rattling noise

Hi thanks for the advice guys.

I took the wheels off again and it is the pads rattling. I have greased up the shims, but it seems the clip is the problem its much looser than it should be.

Is it easy to get another clip, and do i get it from the brake pad guys at EBC or can Subaru supply it?

Thanks

Ash
