Brakes?

I'm thinking of getting some red stuff pads for my MY00.

The question I'm asking is what discs do you guys recommend I use with them.
On my last scooby I was running Performance Brake Disc (PBD) with mintex 1144 which was a good set up or should I use this set up again.

Well Neil - I have just had some Black Diamond Predator pads fitted to my Scoob and am quite plesed with them....I am however in need of some new front discs and am considering the Black Diamonds They seem well priced and give good braking power

Do not buy Black Diamond drilled and grooved discs... THEY WILL CRACK

Just had to change mine..... Bought EBC Red Stuff ceramic pads and EBC Turbo Groove discs... They came highly recommended by the Scooby community

Bought them from Camsport very very good price..... http://www.camsport.co.uk

Arrived next day delivery..... Well pleased

I fitted them today and straight out the box they are good.... All I can say is they are going to be excellent once bedded in

Andrew at Camsport is really helpful give him a call 01970 625082 You will not get a better price I tried

Poxy
My wheels need refurbing anyway......
Other thing is in normal road use they will not get to that sort of heat, BUT will get hot enough to be highly affective.... and I do not intend on doing track days....

Several people trialed these pads on scoobynet for EBC before they launched them and all the feedback was positive...... They are becoming the pad to use by many respected scooby owners....... Hence the reason I bought them

I had not heard of the ceramic particles welding themselves to the wheels :?:
The mess the wheels got into with Mintex M1144 (previous pads), it surely can be no worse.
I will obviously report my findings

Thanks for the info

Well they got a bit of use this morning and over the mintex 1144 all I can say is "WOW" so much more feel and far better breaking...... I will keep an eye on the wheels though
