Engine light on the dashboard.

Having trouble with the engine light on the dashboard. Had it checked and was told it was the lambda sensor on the exhaust. Had this replaced and after around 60 miles it has come back on again.

Would like some help, any suggestions!

Re: Engine light on the dashboard.

It was taken back to the garage where we got it from, but it's quite a distance travelling, so really didn't want to take it back there. Do you think it's just a question of resetting the ecu in the car?

Re: Engine light on the dashboard.

the fault codes stay in the ecu, so unless the fault code was reset it will still show a fault.

any decent subaru garage would be able to check.

Re: Engine light on the dashboard.

When the new lambda sensor was put in as that was what the fault was saying when we first took it back. So it was put on the exhaust and was reset, and ok until about 60 miles after, so really can't understand when it's had a new sensor in, why the light has come back on again
