Need more power

how can i get more power from a 93 1.8L impreza. i have intake, cat back and i ported the throtle body, anything else thats not adding a turbo

where can i get different cams? if looked everywhere, i even asked subaru.com. i looked for a supercharger but couldnt find a real one, just the electric kind. any ideas?

Cams - I'm not sure - our of interest is the 1.8 a boxer engine?

As for superchargers, I suppose theres HKS and Jackson - two manufacturers that come to mind. Prices do look steep tho, and I think they're only available for certain cars.

Worth doing a search on google for tho.

yeah its the boxer motor. what site did you go to to find the supercharger? ive looked just about everywhere. would cams from like a 2.0 or 2.2 work.i cnat find anyone whos changed the cams to ask what they used.

you are not going to get much out of a 1.8L

trust me i know... my first rally car:





even with intake, exhaust - etc
you're just not going to see a vast improvement

turbo swap really is the only decent option.
car only puts out 110hp

Thats what i figured, but i cant even find a wrecked subaru in the junk yards around here. do you know of any place that might have something for a resonable price?
