replacement rear shock absorber

hi all,

i am going to change the rear shock absorbers, i have noticed that the brake hose goes through an arm on the strut, does thiis mean the hose needs replacing? i cant see a way to get it off the strut without cutting it (or undoing oit at both ends and chucking it withthe old strut).
i guess the new brake hoses come in two parts that are bolted onto the new strut, then at each end.

any ideas?

cheers

Pete

Welcome to the site mate 8)

You reuse the hose. Clamp off the hose (not the metal pipe) and undo the union on the caliper. Where the hose is attached to the shock the is what I would call a 'C' clip that you have to remove and then pull the hose back through.

Refit in reverse order and bleed the brake.

Hope this helps
