Talking New owner asking really easy peasy questions.

hi guys i gotta a couple of questions that are really dumb but this is my first scooby and the first time i've really wanted to do anything real proper with my car!...

1. first of does anyone know what the button just behind my steering wheel does its got a picture of a square or something?

Also I found a place to buy tyres well cheap.....

tyres online @ mytyres.co.uk: cheap passenger tyres, summer tyres, winter tyres and tyre dealer

2. has anyone found cheaper ways to buy?

3. does anyone know of a place I could find pictures of the engine bay and what all the different parts are and what they do? I really want to know more about my car and do as much of the bits myself as I can.

4. I got 2 front wings with the car as the ones on it have dents in them. Are they easy to change? and should I get them laquered (as its pealing on the spares before they go on ?

Ive only ever had crap cars before (apart from 106GTI) so not been that bothered bout it. Ive done air filters and back box before so I'm not a complete tard.

thanks guys really appereciate your help

P.S. Anyone in or near chelmsford area on here?

No such thing as a daft question... just daft answers

Welcome to the site

Button behind steering wheel is the switch for the parking lights

Not sure about your tyre question... I buy mine from a small local tyre dealer
Toyo's are great value

Do you have a user manual with the car? all the items are pictured and listed in there?

Wings not to bad to change...if your good on the tools.. the ones going on... if laquer peeling or going opaque... you need to get them rubbed back and re finished in clear... as a cheap fix... but to do it properly requires respray base and coat.

I am sure others will help with your enquiry

Best of luck and welcome to the world of the Scooby

Re: New owner asking really easy peasy questions.

makes me smile! Woo! ...

I've just noticed the black trim that goes down the edge of the windscreen on the drivers side isnt sitting properly under the glass like the other side
is that a simple thing or does the screen need to come out to place that under?

Thanks in advance!

Re: New owner asking really easy peasy questions.

extreme scoobies is pricey though isnt it? i have read somewhere they are top notch guys though? its like 50 quid or something?
Dont everyone start going mental but I know the guys at kwikfit (shock horror) and probably get it done and the P1 back box put on for a favour. They did balance the wheels when I got it and topped up the power steering fluid for a box of fags lol. but if the the guys at extreme scoobies offer something special (not like that lol) then I'd pay the money.

Mind you im moving out next month thats so i gotta be tight on money this month! these are all temporary fixes you see as she will get some 17's later this year. Moving to East hanningfield and its lovely out there some good rally style B roads whoop whoop!

By the way dont know who the van belongs to lol
