Final Purchase Check

Ok guys n gals, I'm off to pick up the RB5 from the dealers in 2 weeks from tomorrow.
Anyone got any tips on what I should double check before I drive it off the forecourt?

I would get as much out of the garage as possible... Dont forget they arnt doing you any favours (well apart from the rb5)... Try and get a full tank of petrol, new mats and a magic tree  all these help... Check that the books are clean (the obvious one) and the car hasnt been involved in a major accident. Make sure you have the security certificates (immob / alarm with a subaru stamp on them) as your insurance my need these from you. Check you have the immob and radio security code just incase something happens and you cant start the car.

Open the bonnet and check if the engine is still there

Drive safely

Ditto what Gareth has said - just make sure that all the history is there - if it has a Service History ?? Make sure any bits and pieces the dealers were gonan throw in are present

Start her up - listen to the Burble - drive off forecourt and enjoy.....just remember to allow her to warm up before giving being using the throttle pedal in earnest.....oh yea and wait for the face ache - - - which you will get from the permanent smile

Good points about the immobiliser and alarm certificates & stamps, will double check for them

Its a good hour run back from the garage, enough time to get the engine up to temp and give it a sensible tester
