Coil Help

Could someone please tell me if there is a way to check if the coil pack is faulty. A guy told me that one of them on the drivers side was broken and making a ticking noise, so i've pulled the front one out to have a look but i dont know what i'm looking for to be honest.

My subaru is a 95 import and has the coil packs are on the spark plug

Can anyone please let me know asap!

Thanks Claire

Re: Coil Help

easy way to check is to pull the lead out, stick a plug in it and get someone to turn the key whilst its held close say part of the enginebay body work and see if the spark that jumps between the end of the plug and the bodywork is a strong bright one,it its a weak faint one the pack needs replacing
