OIL LEAKING!

hi can anyone help me, bought my car last year and it had the slighest oil leak ever so i deicded to leave it, now i seem to have a bigger leak and it looks like its dripping from somewhere on the front middle of the car onto my manifold, i noticed there is a silicone hose close to my manifold anyone got any ideas what it can be before i take it to a garage? oh yea the car is a 95 m reg impreza turbo! if there are any common faults would be happy to know thanks.

Re: OIL LEAKING!

sounds like front cam seal, fairly common and not a big fix if caught early enough.

not sure which specialists are out cleethorpes way though im afraid

Re: OIL LEAKING!

Common fault is a leaky rocker cover onto up pipe though thats the left hand side as you`re stood looking into the engine bay, though suppose if the leak were bad enough could make its way down to either header,if its front middle though sounds like maybe crank oil seal, awkward to diagnose with cambelt cover on,whip the cover off and have a look.

oops, i ment the crank seal lol

doubt its the rocker though due to where the oil is
