FERODO BRAKE PADS

Changed my front brake pads a few wks ago went for the FERODO DS PERFORMANCE heard a good bit about them pads have a classic v6 sti type ra with the standard 4pot calipers found the brakes in the car when i got it were not great so bled the brakes, useing FERODO DOT4 brake fluid now and got the pads, from these small jobs its amazing how it can brake really good. They a race spec pad for road use they pretty fade resistent to, what do everyone else find good it would be good to hear????????????????

Re: FERODO BRAKE PADS

try ds2500 next time round and you'll see an improvement again...............the ds2500 is more high performance based whereas the more std "DS performance" pad is simply a mildly uprated road material

cheers, alyn

Re: FERODO BRAKE PADS

i have the DS 2500 all round on my classic. much better initial bite than standard pads, but they do cause an annoying squel when driving at low speed, whether this from dust build up i'm not sure?

great will try them next time when you fitted them did you apply enough of copper grease (anti squel grease) on back of pad and the shim put a lot on mine and so far so good no squel at all...................
