Re: rolling road

good thing that you didnt run it so just incase it detonated and would cause damage to your engine, just run it on higher octane fuel the higher the better less chance of detonation then

Re: rolling road

its on super as it is. i had a wee look tonight and the only thing i could see was a hose that goes into the inlet manifold could do with a hose clip as it feels quite loose and it runs like a bigger bag of sh1te when you take it off.

Re: rolling road

had the car into garage the other day, got problem sorted, apparantly its something to do with a hose or pipe thats got something do with the turbo.
so now the cars running as it should, except its down in power, possible cam timming. i hope its that and not nothing else more serious.

I think the early classics run 1 bar while the 97 onwards classics run 0.9

Re: rolling road

dunno what the boost should be, he told me it should be 0.6 so it was working as it should.
also told me it was a bit flat, the rollers showed 182.7
trying to compare it to my last car which was a 170bhp v6, the scoob would leave it for dead without even trying...........seems a lot more than 12 bhp

he wants to test the compression, fire some smoke or something through the engine to test for a broken ring? and check the cam timming. im hoping its this as the previous owner put a new bottem end on it so it could easily be rectified
