Draining and refilling gearbox oil

Greetings all,

Some questions relating to this..

Does the Impreza gearbox have a drain plug similar to the engine sump? Is the oil fully drained from here?

Do you just refill using a funnel via the g\box dip stick?

I heard that it does have a drain plug which is magnetized to attract any debris. Is this true?

best regards
Angelo.

Yes. The 02 Impreza has a 21mm drain plug with a magnet at the end of it that collects metal debries located on the bottom of the tranmission behind the subframe.
