Code: P1502

I have a 1997 impreza L 2.2
I pulled a code P1502 wich I understand as idle speed and radiator fans.
I have no problems with either, but the check engine light is on.
any Ideas?

Hi, Maurice.

Could be the coolant isnt up to where its supposed to be and so when the car gets warm there is a pocket of hot air or steam at the top of the system, the same place the coolant temp sensor is.

Ok I will check that, but I just changed the radiator and filled it. I thought maybe it was because I disconnected the fans and did not plug them together right. I checked. them they are ok, the radiator is full, the over flow is good and I drained a little coolant to bleed the system.
It was over heating because the old radiator was cracked.
Thank you for the response.

It can be a nightmare getting all the air out of the engine after a coolant change. Try squeezing the top and bottom radiator hoses while the car is running and up to temp and you might get some more bubbles come out of the metal reservoir. It helped me no end when i changed mine.
