Fitting - Prodrive back box

Just looking for a few tips.

Just picked up a second hand Prodrive tailpipe to fit my '04 WRX.

I'm planning to fit it myself, so firstly is it a fairly simple job ?

Also is there a gasket on the joint between the main pipe & the tailpipe ?

....and once its on is it likely to make any noticeable difference to performance.

Any tips or advice much appreciated !

Thanks.

performance wise i doubt you wil notice much. but then in sound you will. makes a nice sound that prodrive one does. kind of unnofensive until you put your clog down. but then because of that sound it will make it feel faster.

you running with a standard manufacturers system at the mo then?
if you are i doubt you wil notice any difference unless you did the back box and a de-cat at the same time or something.
i went from standard to just an afterburner back box and see now difference really until i got the cat off.

as for the doing it yourself, the only real problem i could see you coming across is if its all seized up under there.
but then its only an 04. so its stil young.

just have a go! even if you faff it up or come across a problem you have to end up getting fixed at a garage, at least youve tried!
if you succeed, then next time you'l have the confidence to do it again

Thanks for your help guys !!

Just got my Prodrive tailpipe on, and its sounds luuuvly !!

Nice burble around town, but this flattens out at motorway speeds, so its not intrusive.

Nice easy job, took about 45mins to swap the pipes over, but could definately do it quicker now i've done it once.

No noticeable improvement in performance, just a nice sound.

Anybody know whether or not the car will now require remapping, or will the engine management cope ?? (It does also have a "Green" panel filter)
