Smile Plugs

I'm about to have some new plugs fitted (NGK laser platinum PFR7B 4853), it says on the box do not adjust the gap. Has anybody felt the need to ignore this advice or do I accept it as right? Cheers, Mick.

Gap mine to 0.8mm albeit pfr6b`s would check the existing gap first-i never put plugs straight in.
