Using Too mUch Water?

Since i changed my Temperature coolant sensor, it seems to be using alot of water. I haven't seen any leaks and the car seems to be running okay. I did loose all the water when i took the sensor out, so am unsure how much iy will take to replenish again?

Any tips of where i need to look etc would be appreciated.

Scotty.

just a thought scotty but have you checked the plastic ends on the radiator? these are prone to cracking and wont show any obvious traces of water leak. i only noticed because i spotted a small column of steam coming from the front of the car

Scotty my guess is that when you replaced the sensor you`ve created an airlock in the system,no fault of your own obviously if a systems opened up half way round it(removing the sensor)then blocked up again with the new one its unavoidable.
Whats making you think its using it is more than likely the airlock getting smaller and smaller as the water circulates and eventually im pretty sure will sort itself out-just keep topping it up or to help it along undo the radiator type cap on the expansion tank if ya like nr the power steering pump and squeeze the rad top and bottom hoses aswell as smaller heater hoses etc-may see bubbles in the top as ya do it thats good, once youre happy theres no more air you yaself can get rid of try starting the car with the lid still off cant remember as its been a while since i drained coolant wether it will rise immediately or not (KEEP AN EYE ON IT) as it circulates,it should help-put cap bk on after 5 or 10 mins and keep checking ya coolant daily-though i`d almost put my life on it its just an airlock.
