How to Install short shifter

I bought a Cobb Double Adjustable short shifter for my 2005 subaru impreza 2.5RS. Since I am pretty new with modding and don't feel that good about taking apart the shifter...i decided to let someone else do it. So I called the shop and according to them it would take 4hrs and will charge me about $200-300. Now that is a rip off. Anyone here can give me instructions on how to install this shifter??? Thanks! BTW....the same shop said they will charge me about $400 to install my TEIN H. Tech lowering springs. Is that too much? I have no clue...
