Clutch Judder

hey jus been browsing the site bored at work, was looking at the checklist for buying an impreza and noticed the bit bout clutch judder, was jus wondering if any one could explain why this happens as mine does this sumtimes and i put it down to the gearbox mount that needs changing, is this the reason ??

Im putting it down to wear on the flywheel some ppl reckon a few launches cleans the surfaces up (clutch/flywheel)but didnt have much affect on my old one-mainly just noticeable on really slow pull offs at low revs after a while it does ya head in and can be overcome with more revs though generally i found only noticeable when the car were cold-bit un nerving though when it happens if youre new to scoobys vibration goes right through the car for a split second.

my newage when standard clutch was still fitted did it alot of the time on daily driving, alot better with the exedy in.

Same clutch here if just an exedy organic-cant get mine to do it now.

it due for new clutch anyway, might have to upgrade, ppl saying having flywheel skimmed helps too ??

Yer just depends on the condition of the flywheel as to wether i`d get one skimmed or replaced however leaving as is aint an option when fitting a new clutch - well i`d never recommend it.Lightened flywheel were immediately noticeable on mine however probably some of the best money spent on mine.

i agree with ya there dave. lightened flywheel was the best decision i had made for me (because the old flywheel was goosed!!!) immediately felt better but the bite point did take some getting used to at first with a few stalls thrown in

i had it done on last car i had, noticed difference straight away, revved more freely
