1999 FWD fuse

hello, I have a 1999 Impreza OBS auto. I placed a fuse on the FWD slot on my fuse box. It made my car FWD and a FWD appeared on my dashboard. Know, I want to know if this may be used on a daily basis or will it damage something? my acceleration and economy improved with this, hence my interest on the question. Thanx a lot, cheers

ok, thanx for your replies. It would be nice to know if there is any problem. What can you think of? My car is a little faster and a lot better on gas (maybe 5~8mpg more not sure) so I want to know, maybe it'll help others as well. cheers

I wouldnt have thought it would be a good idea to run the car like that as subaru would have installed a switch for you to enable or disable 4wd like they used to do in years past.
