Fuel filter change

I know this should be a doddle of a job, and it will be !!

As soon as I can work out which number fuse is for the fuel pump, as I need to disable the pump to release the pressure before removing the filter.

The owners manual is bloody useless, and I don't want to start ripping out interior plastics looking for the fuel pump relay.

It must be easier just to remove a fuse !!

Does anybody know which number fuse it is ?

....and is it in the fuse box under the dash or the box under the bonnet ??

Any suggestions welcome !!

Nope, I mean the fuel filter under the bonnet, just behind the windscreen washer bottle.

Didn't even know there was one behind the back seats !!

its where the fuel pump is, its gota bag type filter attached to the inlet to prevent larger particles of dirt getting in.

not sure about the other one though, needs be just discoonect the battery and wait half hour for the charge to disapate

Hi,

Fuel Filter removal and install.

I'd suggest changing out a fuel filter after the car has sat overnight. Reason being, the motor is cold and all the pressure in the fuel system has dissipated
