Hi, hello to all. I'm new to the site although I've owned my 1999 Classic 2.0 Sport (the baby one) for the past three years. I'm hoping someone out there has had this problem with their Scoobie and might be able to help. Please excuse the non technical language.
My car is cherished and everything gets done when it should, by a reputable garage. But it has started to make a very weird noise when I de-accelerate. It doesn't do this at any other time - I thought the exhaust was vibrating but am assured by the garage that it is fine. It's odd because it only does this when I slow down - fine when I boot it but it's quite loud and turns heads for the wrong reasons. I'm still convinced it's the exhaust but I'm more interested in finding the problem than being right! The noise sounds like something is vibrating (no rude responses) and it does sound like it's coming from under the car but as I can't get out to hear it, I could be wrong. Any suggestions gratefully received. I'll post pics when the new set of pink graphics I've just ordered on are on the car! Thanks
