WRX with PPP or STi -Whats the difference ?

Any advice welcome !!

Currently have an '54' reg WRX and was thinking of a PP Pack for it.

As I understand it adds about 40bhp, similar power to the STi.

I have read though, that the STi can lack power low down as a result of turbo lag, and that the WRX is the much more driveable everyday car.

Would I have the same problem with the PPP or is it tuned differently ??

Does the STi have a bigger turbo that causes the bigger lag ??

Basically PPP on the WRX, or just sell it and get an STi ??

Thanks !!

sell it get an sti, and if your lucky with ppp

norm find the sti picks up quick and runs out stronger even comparing a wrx ppp to a none ppp sti.

another option is to take the money you would spend on the ppp add a bit and do your own mods, vf34, front mount, injectors, fuel pupm cold air induction kit and you should be roughl 330bhp.

or another option still lol, take the sti, decat, induction kit, fuel pump and remap and your at 330bhp but witha stronger starting car

Hmmm, thanks for the reply, but this all sounds a bit too ambitious for me !!

I just want a bit of extra go, but still with lots of flexibility, & reliability.

Have to use it as an everyday commuter as well.

As its just out of warranty, i may look at a little tune up from Graham Goode, or Power engineering.
