Auto box

Is there much of a difference between the auto and manual impreza??

um, one has a gearstick that goes left and right, auto has a gearstick that goes forwad and back,,,,,,,,,,,,,, pmsl, sorry but you knew that was comming.

as far as im aware its inly the box thats different, remaining spec is exactly the same

auto is 4 speed so ratios taller resulting in less acceleration as opposed to 5 speed manual as with all manual to auto comparisons.

Been in my mates auto and still quick. But with almost all auto's tend to change up gearbox if you come off the throttle. Not very nice if you wish to hold the power through a bend.....or if you floor it jumps down one gear followed by another! bit jurky!!!!

There cheap though so don't rule it out but for true impreza performance driving stick with the manual!!! Dont think they made an sti in auto !!!
