Stalling when idle'ing

Any advice welcome!

My wrx (prodrive) sometimes stalls when I drop it into neutral- I presume the rev just drop a bit low sometimes and so it cuts out. It idles at the correct rpm generally though. Does it just need a slight adjustment by any old garage or will the computer need adjusting by a specialist?

Thanks v much

when mine did the same thing it turned out to be the air mass sensor... initially i though it was the idle control valve but in combination with the poor running, poor mpg and co 8%, it was the airmass sensor... didn't trigger the engine check light... daignostics after it was fixed indicated the lambda sensor was also starting to go, probably from the constant rich running because of the faulty sensor... hope that gives you something to start with...

Thanks- i can prob rule out the air mass sensor then as she runs like a dream, CO is fine (or was at MOT recently) and MPG is pretty normal (27 average). Appreciate your help matey . It seems to have got a bit better over the last couple of days- maybe just a temporary glitch...

sometimes it can be software problems if the car hasn't been to a dealer's for a service and there has been an update for the ecu software... also , if you know anyone that has a eobd fault code reader it would do any harm plugging it in to see of any faults are thrown up
