New turbo

Hey im after a new turbo.But just wondering wot wud b the best type ov turbo to have.i currently have a TD05.its runnin bout 380bhp at moment but wnt a new turbo to increase to near 420bhp.and if i do is dat running the risk ov blowing the engine due to asking to much ov a 2.0litre?all views and surgestions welcome.cheers

mm, should think thats engine pop teritory mate so unless your prepared for a rebuild i wouldn't botehr im afraid

Yep dats wot i thought but i thought id ask see if i cud but neva mind.jst saving up at mo for cossie bottom end and internals den i may consider new turbo den!

i think the turbo you want is an MD321T but like tidge says, unless you`ve already got uprated internals you`re gonna want to look at getting them done. Out of interest, whats your spec?

at the min its running 381 bhp at 6450 rpms and bout 340 of torque i reckon dats a close spec

also recommend speaking to www.enginetuner.co.uk for there garrett gt30/p20, having this fitted to my STI.

other thing is theres are now rival turbos to the md321, they are getting slightly better results higher power and lower lag, but, they havn't been compared back to back on same car yet so no way of knowing if its car or turbo yet, shall post up as and when there done

This is a few things ive done to engine but they were all done part from a few things wen i bought it

Blitz SUS induction
MRT silicon inlet pipe
TD05FE turbo
Samco silicon hoses
HKS type-r Front mounted intercooler
HKS turbo Timer
Up-rated fuel pump and pressure regulator
MRT lightened pulleys
Ported exhaust manifold
Jap Innovations stainless flexi up-pipe
Jap Innovations de-cat downpipe & centre.
Vortex Afterburner BB.
HKS EVC5 boost controller running up to 1.7 bar
Apexi Power FC replacement ECU mapped
Magnecor leads
Turbosmart supersonic DV
Blitz 1.3Bar Rad Cap
Earthing kit
Oil breathers removed from induction system
AP racing organic clutch

ye i no m8.but its takein a while to save up for the cossie 2.5 bottom end conversion.so jst wundered if there was owt i cud do jst for now until den but looks like im jst gonna av to wait!
