my back brakes are hot hot hot ???

hi i have a problem i had to change my back brakes yesterday becouse they are sreaming at me more on the passegers side (back) and it was really hot ,changed them but the passegers one is so hot after a run out in it , i could make my self a egg sandwich of it,i dont know if this could have any thing to do with the calipers and they were really hard to put back on,my friend seams to think i should run them in but i dont want the car brusting in to flames what do you think it could be ? and is it safe ? carl

Were they getting hot before when they were screaming at ya or is it only since youve changed the pads???if it were doin it before could be handbrake shoes that sit inside the rear discs if they want altering theres a rubber bung that fits inside the back plate about 1/4 in wide and bout an inch long remove then with a blade ended screwdriver can adjust shoes up or off through this slot via adjuster.

If its the rear calipers pretty sure"though not positive"the caliper pistons adjust on a thread (hoping someone on here`s gonna confirm/correct-Alyn where are ya??)sounds like it could be this- to be honest hoping someone else can give ya more info mate as ive never altered em.

bit fiddly to be honest an you`ll need a torch or light of some sort-to see through the slot to the adjuster.

Been out today and the brakes don't seem to be getting overly hot now wonder if it was a bedding in period?? will keep eye on it the near future.
Many thanks for the info and help.
