Weird Scaping noise?

Got a funny scraping noise on the front left hand side of the car, but has stopped now. It sounded like the exhaust had partly dropped off and was catching the ground. Car was still running smoothly though.

Mind u, the car had been sitting for 2 months and i only topped up the brake fluid that day, as it was just above minimum.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Scotty.

Could be the wear indicators on the pads... Thinking that you had to top up the reservoir could be that the pads are worn down....

I doubt its the pads as it had just passed its mot on the 6th may. Heard it again today, and actually sounded like a banging noise.

Could it be the exhaust, something to do with getting too hot? It only happend twice today, and went as quick as it came.

Scotty.

Try the heat shield. You may be able to wire it enough to stop the rattling.

Cheers matey. Have found out that the heat shield can crack in wet conditions and vibrate together.
