Help Me Please!

I have a 98 subaru impreza that wont pass smog due to a knock sensor. the smog paper says knock sensor 1 circ malfuc. where are the knock sensors and how much is the part to replace???

mine was playing up and was told 80-100 to replace (based on a garage fitting it), not sure where it is though

Looks like its located on the cylinder block (Intercooler area)

it's on the top of the engine, towards the back.(mounted to top of right hand block casing). i only know this as mines in bits at the mo.

Hey guys, I have searched high and low for the bloody knock sensor and cannot for the life of me see it. The car is a '97 Impreza Turbo 5 Door. Any photos of this particular engine with knock sensor??
